Màstra Italian Bakery Bistro

My husband and I went here because it was listed as one of Utah Valley's best restaurants. After going there I would totally agree with that assessment. Everything we ate was so good. I never eat Italian when I go out because I figure I could make something comparable at home for a third of the price. Maestra is an acception. I don't think I could recreate the flavors there. It is totally worth the trip over.

I remember coming here when it just opened. At the time, I recently came back from Italy and was craving authentic Italian cuisine. Fortunately, I found it here! I went back recently. Luckily, the food was still amazing. However, I am dinging this review by one star due to the service. I don't mind I had to wait 35 mins for a table during dinner time on a Friday night; however, I very much do mind the fact that I stood in the restaurant for about 10 mins with all 4+ servers completely ignoring me. It took them a long time to even acknowledge me with "We'll be right there to help you". Before they did, they walked RIGHT by me constantly without a simple "Welcome". That was not professional or welcoming. The place itself is kind of small but nicely kept. Things were clean and it had a nice vibe to it. I recommend all the pastas; truly can't go wrong with any of the options. I don't recommend the vegetable soup because it was quite bland. I ordered the "half" size of each pasta. Because I am an adult, they charged me 70% of the full size pasta cost. I didn't mind it much. I'm happy they have the option of smaller portions. This allowed me to try more of the pasta options!

Amazing!!! Definitely my new favorite restaurant in Utah! Everything from start to finish was amazing. Usually, I have a favorite thing that overshadows the other dishes, but we honestly loved everything! Homemade focaccia, crispy potatoes, pesto, carbonara, tiramisu, and panna cotta! Was SO happy with everything! The vibe of the restaurant is so cute and inviting. Shoutout to Jay for the great service and the recommendations I will definitely be back again soon! Got too excited and didn’t get photos of everything, but the photos are of the pesto, carbonara, and the berry panna cotta

This is my absolute favorite restaurant with the most authentic Italian food. I just came back from Italy since being there for over a year and I’d been looking everywhere for authentic delicious food! This is the place to go! The general manager was amazing and is from Rome as he was so kind to let me order in Italian. Would recommend 10/10!

First time going here and it felt like you were eating in an authentic Italian restaurant! Meatballs were perfectly cooked, and the pesto lasagna was delicious! Everything was fresh and the service was timely. The manager Migey walked us through the menu and gave amazing recommendations. Our server Paige was on top of it as well- the whole team seemed to work seamlessly together. Definitely coming back soon!

This has been my go-to Italian restaurant in Utah, and for good reason! Every visit feels like a little escape to Italy the food is incredibly fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. The pesto pasta is absolutely heavenly, bursting with rich, vibrant basil flavor, and the focaccia bread is out of this world soft, warm, and perfectly seasoned. The desserts are just as amazing beautifully made, not too sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu; every dish I’ve tried has been exceptional. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff make you feel right at home. I can’t wait to go back and try even more dishes this place truly captures the heart of Italian dining!

We decided to come here on a whim with the kids (4 and 1 yr old). The service was excellent, everyone was super nice and helpful. The menu is mostly limited to pasta dishes, breads, soups and salads, so don't expect pizza here. They use authentic, quality ingredients, likely imported from Italy like the parmigiano reggiano. Pasta and focaccia is fresh and handmade daily. Portions were great, I had leftovers. We started with the focaccia and that was top notch! Definitely get some as an appetizer. I got the bolognese because I enjoy getting simpler dishes at new restaurants. It usually gives me a good idea of how well they can execute a good dish. It was delicious, definitely a slow cooked bolognese sauce. My wife got the pesto dish (not the lasagna one) and that was also amazing. The kids meal was a simple pasta with butter and parmigiano reggiano dish. The atmosphere was nice, it had a very neo-Renaissance theme going on with the decor. Italian music was playing in the background (at least outside I could hear it). Its a smaller restaurant/bistro so it can get a bit loud inside. They have some outdoor seating with sun shades which was nice for a summer evening. Their new menus were really nice and added to the neo-Renaissance vibe they had going with the artwork around the building.

We were referred by a friend. It was absolutely amazing! Friendly staff, excellent food. Can't wait to go back! Can I make a suggestion? I would love to come sample all of it. Maybe when you open your new location have a night and make it were we can taste each of the wonderful dishes!
